Is it Tuesday already?

Wow, this week is going fast! With work being a whirlwind of activity (as always), cheer season in full swing, planning for two international trips, and normal life, it has been a bit crazier (even than normal) around here.

I just have to post something that happened today. So, I have been trying to book a trip to Malaysia for a week or so, and it has been rather complicated. There are many choices, but they all seem to have an issue - India requires a visa to leave the terminal so if I were to get stuck (and this IS me we are talking about) I would need a Visa, Frankfort didn't leave enough time in Atlant to go through Customs, Amsterdam got me back to Tampa too late on the return, etc, etc, etc. So, I know that the travel person is ready to choke me. :) So, today, I am on my iphone and get an email from her. So, I quickly want to reply so that my ticket can get booked. So, I type something like the below.

Hi Jeri...

Those flights won't work. Can you find something that gets in earlier on the return?

Thanks...

I realize RIGHT at the moment that I hit Send that my oh so helpful iPhone has translated Jeri to Jerk...so, my nice email now starts with

Hi jerk...

Those flights won't work.

AHHHHHH....If you could have seen me frantically trying to shut off the phone, stop the outbound email, etc. It would probably have been hysterical to watch. However, I couldn't stop it.

So, I sent an email immediately over apologizing profusely and THANKFULLY, she understood and was really nice.

So, that is just an example of what my life has been like. :) You add the passport craziness, the house hunting, the kidney stone craziness, and the immunizations (plus everything else!), I am a bit out of sorts. However, it is exciting, and I am SO excited to be going on vacation!

  1. Oh my! That is precisely why my goal for 2009 has been to re-read, and re-read, and for good measure, re-read ONE more time, everything I send. I am the queen of sending emails with a MAJOR typo that makes me feel like a royal (_*_).

Glad Dear Jerk was understanding, though. Sounds like you have PLENTY on your plate without making enemies with the travel department!
