Morgan's First Horse Show

Today, we got up at the crack of dawn to take Morgan to her very first horse show. She has recently started riding lessons again (been a long time since she stopped to do tumbling/cheerleading). She went to one lesson and then had to miss three weeks. When she came back, it was 4 days before the show. They asked her if she wanted to do it, and she said she did although I think she was pretty nervous about it.

We got there on time, and they got Chance ready for the show. She got to warm up and then they started the show. They had to walk and stay close to the rails, and then they had to trot and post correctly. Morgan had a little trouble getting her post correct and her horse didn't want to stay close to the fence at one point. Otherwise, she did awesome!!!! Then, they went to the center of the ring and she got 2nd place. Then, they did it again and walked and trotted. She had MUCH more conrol over Chance this time, and she got 1st!!! She was so excited. She was 2nd overall, so she took home three big ribbons! She wasn't feeling well though so we went straight home and she went straight to bed. :( At least she got out for a while and got to have some fun.
